**Job Summary**:
As Logistics Coordinator Assistant you will play a crucial role within our Operations Team. Your primary responsibilities will involve creating production schedules based on demand forecasts, material availability, and capacity constraints. You will oversee capacity planning for both in-house and subcontract manufacturing, ensuring efficient utilisation of resources. Additionally, you will be responsible for scheduling works and orders, monitoring their progress, and coordinating deliveries from and to suppliers and customers to ensure timely execution as per agreed schedules.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Creation of production schedules based on demand forecast, material availability and capacity
- Capacity planning activities for both in-house and subcontract manufacture
- Scheduling of works and orders, and monitoring their progress
- Coordinating and booking deliveries from and to suppliers and customers, ensuring these are on time, communicated to relevant parties and as per the agreed schedule
- Identifying demand forecasts and communicating these with the Production team for resourcing and the Finance team for procurement
- Material planning and scheduling activities
- Distributing workloads to meet demand in the most cost-effective manner
- Issuing delivery notes, following up with hauliers to ensure we receive signed delivery notes and record within our systems
- Collating all production-related project documents and filing as required within project files
- Collating in-house and subcontract production figures achieved and forecast and reporting to management as required
- Update, maintain and utilise systems, including an MRP system, to develop and maintain manufacturing programmes, stock levels, production figures, machine maintenance and other relevant information
- Continuous improvement of processes and tools, including support to company change initiatives

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings
- Excellent at carrying out cost / benefit analysis
- Excellent planning, scheduling and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, able to create and maintain spreadsheets, programmes etc.
- A team player able to work with colleagues to achieve collective goals
- Flexible and helpful attitude
- Ideally proficient in Microsoft programmes, in particular Excel and Project
- Willing to learn other computer programmes as required
- A valid UK driver’s license and your own vehicle, suitable and insured to use for work if required
