**Job summary**:
The Business Support Co-ordinator focuses on supporting the Inspection Support Leadership Team in maintaining the effective and efficient delivery of key business activity. The post holder will be directly responsible to the B2 Business Support Team Leader, undertaking appropriate tasks and projects as directed.

**Job description**:
The key responsibilities of the role are outlined below. However, this is an overview of the role and is not exhaustive. Ofsted reserves the right to assign other duties appropriate to the **B3 APT** grade as required.
- Responsible for collecting, organising and managing data to provide business insight for senior management in IST. Typically involved with managing, cleansing, abstracting and aggregating data, and conducting a range of studies on that data.
- The ability to present and interpret the results of data analysis activities for senior IST management, and to make recommendations to improve business performance.
- Have a good understanding of data structures, database systems and procedures and the range of analytical tools used to undertake a range of different types of analyses.
- Responsible for extracting data from Cygnum, and creating bespoke reports.
- Support cross-office working for Inspection Support, supporting Leadership Team meetings, working closely across their range of responsibilities to meet the team’s overall objectives.
- To liaise with stakeholders across the organisation, to ensure the smooth delivery of high quality and effective support to ongoing inspection, regulation and improvement activity for all remits.
- To contribute through configuration management to the ongoing development and improvement of inspection processes and support to inspectors by finding ways to improve systems and structures to deliver a better quality service.
