Male OR Female Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist a 12-year-old child with a Learning Disability living in the Wishaw area.

You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home, at day centre and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

- Attending to all personal care needs.
- Assisting with medication
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks
- Walking, cycling, football and assisting with participation in these physical activities.
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

**Driver essential and you will be required to use your own vehicle - mileage allowance will be paid.**

**Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.**

**Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)**

Recruiting for up to 2 positions.

**Days and times**:
Casual hours at weekends (weekends away only as and when required) - employer is flexible and will be discussed more at interview.

**Hourly rate**:
£12
