Male OR Female Personal Care Assistant required to assist two elderly persons with a Physical Disability living in the Newmains/Wishaw area.

You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home, at day centre and in the community including attending to personal care. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

- Attending to all personal care needs
- Assisting with medication
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks
- Walking and general exercise, assisting with participation in these physical activities
- Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair
- General Housework
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Pets in the household - you must be comfortable working with a dog in the home.

**Driving Licence preferred but not essential.**

**Experience is required but not essential as training will be provided.**
- The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds._

**Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)**

Recruiting for 1 position.

Guaranteed permanent position of 24 hours per week.

**Days and times**:
Set shifts at set times OR weekly rota.

Typically, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday: 9:30am to 6pm

**Hourly rate**:
£13.00 per hour.
