Let us introduce you to David:
David is looking for a Personal Assistant to provide flexible, personalised support to enable me to lead an independent life. He is a young adult who enjoys a range of social activities.

David needs support with all personal care including moving and handling and all training would be provided to assist you with this. You will be required to provide support within the local community to a variety of activities including swimming. A driver would be beneficial to drive David's automatic car as this allows him to get out and about easily.

You should be committed, reliable, motivated, proactive, creative and enthusiastic as well as adaptable. A good sense of humour is a must as David enjoy's a good laugh. He loves it when his personal assistants sing to him and keep him engaged by telling funny stories.

You must also have a positive and flexible outlook to your work and be able to work on your own and as part of a team. An understanding and sharing of person-centred values are key to supporting David. Experience is desirable although not essential, only the right attitude and values are essential
