Purchase Ledger Clerk (Maternity Cover)
Reporting to Financial Director
Main Purpose of the Role
To process and maintain purchase ledger records. Responsible for timely and accurate input, payment and reconciliation of the company purchase ledger.
This role is part of a Hybrid working set up, with a mix of in office and work from home. We can consider a 4 or 5 day working week or flexible working hours.
**JOB OUTLINE / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain an accurate, up to date, purchase ledger.
- Matching invoices to goods received records and purchase orders.
- Investigating and obtaining appropriate approval for differences
- Posting of invoices using correct general ledger codes
- Preparation of timely payment to suppliers
- Monthly reconciliations of major supplier statements are required.
- Credit card reconciliation and coding
- Preparation of invoice accruals
- At times, be involved in other accounting tasks outside the purchase ledger.
**SALARY / HOURS / BENEFITS**
- £25,000 salary per annum
- 25 days holiday
- Normal Working week is 8.45am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.45am to 4.00pm on Friday - with half hour lunch break each day.
