We are looking for a Senior Clerical Officer to provide a comprehensive support service to the Capacity Services Directorate and providing senior support to the clerical officers. Principal duties will be providing administrative support to the Capacity Team ,Hospital Social Workers and the Discharge Lounge who both work onsite and remotely accessing databases belonging to both health and social services.

We require a highly motivated person with proven ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines. You should possess NVQ 3 in administration or experience to this level. Previous experience of working in a health records environment/reception and trained in PAS would be an advantage.

To undertake full receptionist duties, ensuring the service is efficient and welcoming. This to include speaking with Patients relatives ,members of the MDT ( internal and external), answering telephone queries, dealing with visitors arriving at the desk, booking patient transport.To accurately create, update and amend all patient related information on the hospital and council computerised systems.

Respond in a professional and positive manner when dealing with confidential, or sensitive information.

To comply with all statutory, Trust and Departmental policies..

To be responsible for the timely processing of incoming and outgoing mail.

To participate in staff appraisal and agree personal development plan.

To take minutes of meetings for health and social care

To raise orders utilisiing health and social care financial IT systems

Be committed to continual development and training to meet the requirements and further development of the services provided by the directorate.

Assist with the training ,induction and provide senior support for newly recruited staff and junior staff within the department.

Participate in any audit processes deemed necessary by management, consultants, the Trust or other agencies.

Collect relevant statistical data relating to patient activity as requested.

To cover during the absence of colleagues as required.
