We are seeking two customer-oriented Support Officers to support the Workplace Environment team. One role will provide support to property services and workplace facilities and one will support our environmental sustainability strategy for DHSC’s workplaces.

The Workplace Environment team sits in the DHSC Property and Security branch, part of the Workspace, Information, Security and Technology Directorate, which has responsibility for the management of DHSC property and physical security of its buildings and people. As well as managing facilities, the branch delivers a range of property services including health and safety, security, property asset management, sustainability and the creation of excellent workplaces through engagement with staff.

**Job description**:
The support officer roles will play a key part in supporting the delivery of our sustainability strategy and the management and review of workplace facility solutions for colleagues in DHSC buildings. This includes our two headquarter buildings in London and Leeds and other workplaces around the country.

The customer-focused roles will help to create safe, happy, efficient and environmentally conscious working environments for everyone. They involve listening to colleagues’ feedback and explaining the processes and support that is in place for effective office working. The postholders will need to consider sustainable and cost-effective approaches whilst being sympathetic to a wide range of people’s workplace requirements.

The post holders will be responsible for managing workflows in Facilities Management (FM) and sustainability to ensure we meet the timescales to deliver our objectives, as well as collecting data on our progress.

The post holders will be able to work flexibly across different activities depending on customer need and the demands of the business to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Responding to colleague queries regarding property, facilities and sustainability in a helpful, timely manner
- Managing team mailboxes and ensuring responses are catalogued
- Assisting with finance administration, such as raising purchase orders, receipting invoices and keeping track of expenditure
- Helping to monitor the effectiveness of facilities services and listening to feedback to help make improvements
- Gathering data, including environmental data for the department’s sustainability reporting
- Providing data in easy-to-read formats
- Providing secretariat support for the team’s regular board meetings and forums
- Providing other administrative support as required

**Key Skills and Experience Required**:

- Experienced in customer care and delivery
- Experience of data collection
- Experienced in using Excel
