The Leadership Support Team is looking for a well-organised, self-motivated individual to provide administrative support to senior leaders within the Environment Directorate. This position offers the opportunity to develop your knowledge of local government and gain great insight into one of the best local authorities in the country.

The Leadership Support Team provides vital administrative support to the senior leaders of the council and is part of a larger Business Support service. This role therefore provides the opportunity for personal career progression in a dynamic and forward-thinking service. You will provide support to senior managers in a role which encompasses a variety of duties beyond that of a traditional PA. You will take on a wide range of duties including the production of reports, spreadsheets and presentations, coordinating diaries, dealing with correspondence and supporting meetings including minute taking.

The nature of this work requires a flexible approach, excellent customer service skills and a high level of confidentiality at all times. Using a wide range of IT packages, you will be able to demonstrate recent relevant experience and the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise a diverse, but interesting, workload often working to tight deadlines. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and accuracy and attention to detail is critical.

This is a hybrid working role
