The Leadership Support
Team is looking for well-organised, self-motivated individual to provide administrative support to senior leaders within the
Children and Young People’s Directorate. The role offers the opportunity to
develop your knowledge of local government and gain great insight into one of
the best local authorities in the county.

The Leadership Support
Team provides vital secretarial/administrative support to the senior leaders of
the council and is part of a larger Business Support service.

This role
therefore provides the opportunity for personal career progression in a dynamic
and forward-thinking service.
You will provide support, in conjunction with other colleagues, to senior
managers encompassing a variety of duties beyond that of a traditional PA
including the coordination of very busy diaries, dealing with correspondence,
supporting meetings (including coordination of agendas and minute taking) and
the production of reports, presentations and spreadsheets.

The nature of this work requires a flexible approach,
excellent customer service skills and a high level of confidentiality at all
times. Using
a wide range of IT packages, you will be able to demonstrate recent relevant
experience and the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise a
diverse, but interesting, workload often working to tight deadlines. You must
have excellent written and verbal communication skills and accuracy and
attention to detail is critical.
