**Sustainability Specialist**

Reports to: Operations Manager

**Purpose**

Due to Eurostampa UK’s continued growth, we have identified a new and exciting position for a Sustainability Specialist to join our expanding team and help support our ambitious growth. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact not only on a local level but as part of the wider Eurostampa group.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the leading manufacturer of scotch whisky labels in the UK. As the sustainability specialist you will be tasked with developing a local strategic plan whilst assisting with the development of the wider Eurostampa groups’ sustainability strategy.

**Key responsibilities**
- Design and implement a local sustainability strategic plan with support at group level
- Identify, support and co-ordinate environmental improvement plans across the local plant and at group level
- Support the Eurostampa groups commitment to Carbon neutral by 2030
- Working with our key customers in identifying sustainable products in the design and manufacture of their labels
- Provide visibility and accessibility for internal and external customers on potential improvements
- Lead carbon reduction and assessment studies
- Support our operational team on environmental matters and sustainability delivery
- Helping to maintain the environmental management system in line with changing standards and legislation.
- Identify waste reduction methods and programs
- Development of an Energy Management system ISO 50001
- Promote local community engagement activities that have positive environmental and social outcomes
- Willingness to provide training, support and feedback to colleagues on sustainability and relevant issues
- To provide effective resolution to environmental issues
- A graduate degree in sustainability/ environmental management or equivalent relevant field
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO 14001
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001
- Awareness of current Environmental Legislation
- Identification of environmental constraints
- Competent in data collection
- Advanced Excel skills are essential
- Effective report writing
- Knowledge of the EIA process
- Setting science based targets (SBTi).
- Passionate about sustainability, net zero, community engagement
- Effective communication skills
- Experience in project management
