**Student Life Skills Coordinator**

**Location: Manchester**

**Manchester United Foundation uses football to engage and inspire young people to build a better life for themselves and unite the communities in which they live. Dedicated staff deliver football coaching, educational programmes and personal development, providing young people with opportunities to change their lives for the better.**

**The Purpose**:
To coordinate the Student Life Skills programmes, provisions, and events under the supervision of the Student Life Skills Manager.

The purpose of the role is to maintain positive working relationships with new and existing partners, both internal and external. A key objective will be to deliver internal and external provision across all environments including both financial and non-financial activities and projects.

Supporting the Student Life Skills Manager to fulfil all the KPI’s within the remit appertaining to all partner relationships. This will require strategic planning, effective safeguarding, quality assurance, event planning and coordination, health & safety and risk management practices, supporting in delivery and continuous monitoring & evaluation.

**The Role**:

- To support the Student Life Skills Manager to maintain and develop new and existing internal and external partnerships relating to student life skills opportunities.
- Provide operational support to colleagues within the Foundation.
- Attend steering group meetings with the Student Life Skills team.
- Attend meetings with key partnership stakeholders both internal and external to ensure agreed contractual obligations and objectives remain relevant.
- Develop and manage effective working relationships with High School Partner Officers.
- Liaise with the High School Partnership management team to ensure projects identified are fulfilled.
- As directed by the Student Life Skills Manager to fulfill specific projects.
- Liaise with High School Partner Officers to provide outstanding opportunities and experiences for our partner High Schools

**The Person**:

- Demonstration of academic achievement in secondary and/or further education
- Strong functional skills in Mathematics and English
- A current UK driving license
- Experience of managing partnerships, demonstrating a passion for innovation, creativity and excellence
- Proven ability of engaging with a range of stakeholders and external partners in order to achieve strategic and contractual objectives
- Events management and coordination
- Quality Assurance experience
- Staff wellbeing support experience
- Experience of scoping, delivering, monitoring and evaluating a range of activities, events and programmes for students
- Experience of working within an academic environment -** Desirable**:

- Minimum GCSE Grade C or Level 4 in Mathematics and English. -** Desirable**:

- Mental health First Aid -** Desirable**:

- Other sports coaching qualifications - **Desirable**:

- Youth work qualification - **Desirable**:

- Knowledge of national curriculum - **Desirable**
