Northampton, United Kingdom Stafford House Study Holidays Full time

Spend 4-weeks over summer, working as a STEM Tutor (Science). You'll teaching young students from overseas who are on a study holiday, while based in Northampton.

**What does it involve?**
Each summer, Stafford House Study Holidays welcome over 6000 international, young students (aged 8-17) from all over the world to learn English. During their stay, we provide a vibrant activities and excursion programme, alongside stimulating English language lessons in the classroom. It's a great opportunity to work with a range of ages, levels of ability and students from a multi-cultural environment.

At this school, we run a STEM (Science) based course for young overseas students with an English proficiency of upper intermediate. Therefore you do not need to be an EFL teacher for this contract.

You will teach our carefully selected syllabus to support their learning study holiday. Part of the role may include helping to prepare interesting Science-based course related excursions.

**Locations**: Northampton

**Dates**:29/06/2024 - 28/07/2024 (4 weeks fixed term contract)

**Hours**:22 hours per week over 5 days (No weekends and mornings only Tuesday and Thursday)

**Pay**:£44.00 per hour _(plus holiday entitlement)_ which includes preparation and marking

**Some of what need to become part of the Stafford House Teaching Team**:
Essential:

- You must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
- Genuine interest in the teaching and welfare of young students
- You must already have the right to work in the UK
- As this is a short-term contract, you must be able to commit to the above dates

Desirable:

- Cambridge CELTA or Trinity Cert. TESOL *DELTA/ DipTESOL or equivalent MA qualification desirable
- Experience of working in an EFL Summer School
- Experience in an EAP teaching environment
- Experience of working with young learners
