Are you an enthusiastic people person who loves to bring the fun? As an Activities Coordinator, you’ll organise and lead meaningful and entertaining activities for the people we support. You’ll play a key role in empowering them to live fulfilled and happy lives.

You will coordinate and facilitate a visible and interesting activities programme. With a person-centred approach, you will aim to deliver group and 121 activities for older adults living with dementia.

You will be passionate and knowledgeable in creating stimulating and meaningful daily activities. To assist to generate enquiries by ensuing that St Luke’s Care Home is well known in the local area by visiting local groups and schools.

Our Activities Coordinators organise creative and fun activities for the people we support.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Organising individual activity plans based on people’s unique goals and interests
- Fostering community spirit through group activities
- Supporting people to maintain their current, and take up new, hobbies, interests and educational opportunities
- Completing Life Stories with each resident.
- Assisting people to become more involved in their local community
- Celebrating national awareness days, holidays and individual/collective achievements
- Promoting choice, dignity and independence.

We are looking for people who share our values of supporting elderly residents to live happy and fulfilled lives, will have a patient and kind manner, as well as a drive to create a fun and positive atmosphere within the homes. Experience of working in an activities role is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Good written skills are essential as al activities and outcomes of activities must be documented in the residents care plan.

You will have a willingness to complete additional training associated with your role.

As part of the role, you may be required to work occasional weekends.
