Saltire are looking for a Transport Coordinator to manage the day-to-day transport activities for a large fleet to achieve greater efficiencies for the business and maintain productivity. The Transport Coordinator will ultimately be responsible for the coordination and planning of the vehicles and drivers.
- Ensure that every worker is fully compliant with legislative requirements
- Provide a point of contact for transport issues arising
- Ensure all admin responsibilities are completed including updating excel spreadsheets, producing reports and driver administration
- Oversee the timely completion of incident reports for any occurrence and dealing with insurance
- Monitoring costs monthly to ensure all vehicle overheads are in line with budget and challenge where they are unexpected
- Managing and monitoring vehicle maintenance and liaise with suppliers to ensure vehicles are fit for the road
- Monitoring and managing information based on fuel usage, mileage and costs
- Liaise with driver and manager to action any issues that occur during the shift
- Assist in the delivery of toolbox meetings to convey specific information

- Ability to manage your own workload to achieve objectives
- Work well under pressure
- Have a strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships
- Have excellent people management skills
- Have the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Worked with Microsoft packages in particular - Excel and Outlook
- Have a good use of intuition and problem-solving skills for productive outcomes
- Clean driving licence
- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
