The post-holder will work within the Mental Health, based within HMP Risley and Thorncross. The team has a multidisciplinary approach, and we provide both primary and secondary care to the men in HMP Risley and Thorncross.

This role is for psychological wellbeing trainee. The successful applicant will complete the psychological well-being course at Liverpool John Moore's University.

On successful completion of PWP training the Band will be Band 5.

The post holder will be competent in managing their own workload, ensuring that referrals to the service are completed within a timely manner, and managing both their own caseload, and that of junior staff where relevant.

This is a training role within thePsychological Therapies Teamwithin the Mental HealthinReach Team at HMPRisleyand HMPThorn Cross. The post-holder will work within thePsychological Therapies Teamproviding high volume low intensity interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role.

The training post will equip the postholder to provide a range ofCognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based self-management interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression related difficulties.

The postholder will attend all taught and self-study days required by the education provider, as specified withintheNational Low Intensity curriculum and work in the service for theremainingdays of the week using their newly developed skills.

The post holder will work with peoplefromdifferent cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equalopportunities.
