**The Copthorne Hotel Manchester **has an exciting opportunity for a professional and enthusiastic Reservations, Meeting & Events Sales Coordinator who is passionate about providing an excellent customer experience. This position requires someone who is organised, has high attention to detail and accuracy; ensuring all reservations and enquiry details are recorded and communicated appropriately. Effective communication is required with the operational teams to ensure the smooth running of all events and accurate accommodation provision within the hotel.

This position is a full-time 40 hour per week role, with a general Monday-Friday working pattern and occasional evening/weekend work, when required.

**Key responsibilities of a Reservations, Meeting & Events Sales Coordinator are**:

- Working closely with and reporting to the Reservations, Meeting & Events Sales Manager
- Ensuring the telephone is answered promptly in a polite and courteous manner
- Establishing client requirements and identifying how the hotel can facilitate their needs
- Responding to all Reservations and Meeting &Events enquiries in-line with company standards
- Ensuring enquiries are managed to maximise sales, occupancy and revenue, including up-selling equipment, Food & Beverage and relevant hotel facilities, where possible
- Accurately inputting all enquiries into Sales & Catering system
- Dealing with all enquiries promptly and following up on a timely basis
- Compiling accurate function sheets, distributing weekly and discussing with the Operations Team accordingly, proving updates as required
- Actively working as part of a team to achieve the department objectives and budget
- Taking payments and ensuring all posted in to the system.

**What are we looking for?**
- Previous hospitality and customer service experience
- Previous experience working within a Reservations, Conference & Events Sales Administration/Coordinator role/similar
- Experience of OPERA PMS/Sales and Catering
- Excellent organisational skills
- Computer literacy
- The ability to work well under pressure and often to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- The ability to use initiative working on own and as part of the team with a positive ‘can do’ attitude

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester sits peacefully on the attractive Salford Quays waterfront and is within easy reach of MediaCityUK. The hotel offers modern guest rooms with a choice of Standard, Club or Suite accommodation. The Clippers Brasserie offers a traditional menu with views over Salford Quays. The Clippers Bar serves hearty pub food throughout the day with pre-dinner and pre-match drinks available
