**The Role**

A member of the Corporate Finance SMT, reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is at the fore front of business reporting to the Executive and the Board. You’ll be tackling complex consolidations for both Management reporting and Statutory Accountsand providing meaningful, clear and concise commentary to promote understanding.

**Key Duties**
- Support the year end production of Statutory Accounts and liaise and support external auditors.
- Responsibility for quarterly/monthly VAT reporting and general support on VAT queries from the business.
- Support the Financial Controller with corporation tax calculation and HMRC compliance.
- Balance Sheet control accounts and reconciliations.
- Support for financial consolidations for monthly management reporting, budgets, forecasts and business plans plus commentary.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for Corporate Overheads plus supporting analysis and commentary.
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans for Corporate Overheads plus supporting analysis and commentary.
- Support and understand the cost allocation process for corporate overheads.
- Support for Insurance claims, renewals, tenders and queries.
- Prepare National Statistics reports for the ONS.
- Champion for compliance and controls across all areas of Finance.
- Support the development of a strong culture of fraud awareness within the Finance team to protect the business from fraud, error and manipulation
- Support for policies and procedure documents and mapping.
- Support innovation and automation to improve reporting and productivity in Finance

**What we need from you**
- A good understanding of statutory reporting and accounting standards.
- Conversant with a range of reporting styles to convey complex data such as KPIs, bridges, waterfalls, margins, benchmarking.
- Analytical, familiar with data analysis and comfortable using complex modelling.
- Conversant with preventative and detective controls and statutory compliance.
