Mon - Thurs 08:00 to 16:45 and Fri 08:00 to 12:30

**Salary**:
£28,000

**The Role**:
This position will be situated in the Purchasing Department and will play a crucial role in offering essential procurement support to the Purchasing Manager and various departments within the organization. The primary objective is to maintain a seamless and efficient flow of production and supply operations.

**Your specific responsibilities will include**:

- Collaborate with relevant departments to effectively manage inventory needs, utilizing the ERP/MRP system.
- Ensure the prompt placement of purchase orders while maintaining the necessary stock levels, including safety stock.
- Engage with suppliers to discuss orders, delivery schedules, and costs.
- Expedite the procurement of items to minimize disruptions in production.
- Work closely with the Goods In department and suppliers to address any quality or quantity issues related to procured items.
- Keep the internal business system updated with product and supplier details as required.
- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation within the department to enable complete traceability.
- Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders to gain insight into future requirements.
- Contribute to enhancing the overall performance of the Procurement function.
- Assist in developing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and enhance supplier performance.

**Key Skills & Requirements**:

- Possession of a CIPS Level qualification in Purchasing would be a valuable asset.
- Demonstrated previous experience with MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Capable of working independently with mínimal supervision, skilled in prioritizing workloads, and a strong team player.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £28,000.00 per year
