**Test & Inspection Supervisor**
**Salary dependent on experience and qualifications + Excellent Benefits Package**
We have a great opportunity for a Test & Inspection Supervisor to manage and oversee a busy team in our Test & Inspection Department, working on market leading bespoke products for the global market to help us achieve our goals.
As Supervisor of the Department, you shall ensure that the Production plan and Test & Inspection work schedule start dates and deadlines are achieved by scheduling and assigning test personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress and resolving test problems, reporting any issues to the Director of Operations.
**Primary responsibilties**:

- Ensure that all Test Department personnel perform their duties in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring systems, policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure good working communication is kept with the Director of Operations and other internal departments, Engineering, Procurement, Service and Production.
- Create and manage the Test & Inspection work schedule, assign engineers to projects based on their capability and availability to ensure the OTD of test projects is maintained, reporting any issues which overrun to the Director of Operations.
- Attend the Daily Test/Production meeting, assign test engineers to projects based on their capability and availability to ensure that the L3-4 Production schedule is maintained.
- Plan and co-ordinate all test & inspection equipment and materials to ensure all scheduled Test & Inspection work can be carried out efficiently.
- People Management, ensuring the Test and Inspection Department has adequate cover at all times to maintain the Test and Production schedule and raise any resource issues to the Director of Operations.
- Continuously review working practices and ensure all the Test & Inspection team are keeping and maintaining organised, accurate and meticulous records.

**Key skills and qualifications**:

- Ideally have at least 3 years’ experience as an Inspection/Test Engineer or 5 years practical experience in an electrical manufacturing environment.
- Ideally have at least 3 years’ experience of leading a team.
- Have a minimum qualification of C&G or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations.
- Have the ability to read electrical wiring diagrams (supply & instrumentation).
- PLC experience would be an advantage.
- Self-motivated with a flexible, hands-on approach.
- Basic knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Valid passport holder and clean driving license required for occasional travel.
