As Head of QA, you’ll be leading a team responsible for the inspection process, testing and quality verification procedures across a wide range of product categories. You will ensure product integrity, compliance with customer, regulatory and UK/EU statutory requirements whilst driving continuous improvement.

The position is based full time at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool (L24).

**The key responsibilities will be to**:

- Maintain Quality Control objectives in line with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Manage and continually improve the technical aspects of the import process such as product appraisal for quality, safety and legality, pre-production & post-production sealing procedures and inspections
- Ensure that each product has all relevant regulatory test requirements and technical documentation in place
- Identify, recommend and implement process improvements
- Communicate standards and requirements to the category buyer, buying controller, Asia offices, suppliers, and other external agencies
- Recommend and take corrective action in compliance with audits Assist in investigations for both Trading Standards referrals & customer complaints

**The skills & qualifications required are**:

- Experience in a Senior QA management role and working with multifunctional teams
- Broad technical knowledge of specification, performance, and testing
- Previous experience of working within a Trading Standards primary authority
- Exceptional organisational skills and time management
- Ability to relate and communicate at all levels
- A degree or equivalent technical qualification would be desirable (but not essential)
