Quality Assurance Specialist - Façade and Render

We are a leading Principal Contractor, specialising in the design, supply, installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of curtain walling & cladding systems.

Presently operating at £50m+ turnover, with an 18-month secured order book, and a strategic, sustainable company growth plan we now seek an experienced QA Specialist to join our existing highly skilled team.

**Job Title**: Quality Assurance Specialist

**Location**: Liverpool, Royal Quay

**Job Type**: Full-time, Monday to Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm, 47.5 hours per week initially for a minimum of 8 months with potential for a permanent role

**Salary**: From £1000 a week / £23 per hour

**Start date**: Immediately

Key Responsibilities:

- **Quality Control**: Conduct thorough inspections of the building façade at various stages of construction to verify compliance with approved project drawings, established quality standards, and project specifications.
- **Defect Identification**: Identify document and relay to the wider Project Team defects, deviations, and non-conformities in both existing building construction and newly installed façade components, including issues related to rendering quality, material use and system/structural integrity.
- **Documentation**: Create detailed reports and documentation of quality inspections, noting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions taken. Maintain comprehensive records for future reference and analysis. Modern IT literacy is essential. QA reviews are performed via both tablet based apps and cloud based PC software. Use of Office365 software and simple sketching programmes/PDF review software shall be required for adequate performance of this role.
- **Collaboration**: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the design team, engineers, project managers, and site managers to ensure seamless communication and resolution of quality-related matters.
- **Root Cause Analysis**: Conduct straightforward but thorough investigations to determine the root causes of quality issues, then work with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.

Qualifications and Experience:

- 4 years plus experience working in the façade installation industry
- Extensive experience working on major projects - value ranging from £5 million to £25+ million
- A comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding of a range of differing façade types and systems; knowledge of terracotta tile and render
- Existing knowledge of quality assurance platforms such as Fast Field, Bolster, Simpro, or similar.
- Minimum SSSTS qualification required

**Salary**: From £23.00 per hour
