Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced coordinator of Volunteers to join our team. As the VolunteerCoordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating our volunteer program. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on our organisation and the disabled community we serve.

**Responsibilities**:

- Volunteer Recruitment, coordination and induction training.
- Liaising with Volunteers about attendance etc., including at events.
- Checking in with volunteers while they're on the premises. Checking they’re doing what’s needed as required & are happy in their work.
- Maintaining volunteer rotas. Café/Kitchen/Craft and Shop from a volunteer perspective
- Producing and maintaining volunteer Roles and Responsibilities
- Managing the Volunteer Handbook documents
- Inputting to Risk Assessment and policies for the different volunteer roles (Not responsible for ownership)
- Maintaining online Volunteer Hub (online volunteer resources)
- Organising volunteer recruitment events and thank you events
- Assisting with fundraising events and other types of events, as required. (To be paid or given time off in Lieu if outside working hours).
- Carryout out DBS checks on new volunteers and ensuring existing volunteers are up to date
- Obtaining references for new volunteers
- Maintaining the volunteer Database
- Getting feedback from volunteers and feedback in terms of why they are stopping volunteering so we can improve how we manage volunteers.
- Interlocking with Leaders in terms of volunteer requirements and task eg; liaising with the Sales and Marketing lead in terms of what volunteers task are needed to be done on a weekly basis. Liaising with Café Manager once a week to try and address volunteer gaps.
- Where there are short notice volunteer gaps/no-shows, you will be required to fill those gaps (for example covering the shop) but we acknowledge this is not always possible.
- Regular volunteer communications in terms of monthly newsletter and regular social media posts.
- Assisting in the recruitment of volunteers for ad hoc requests/ one off events.

**Skills**:

- Strong people skills to effectively plan, execute, and evaluate volunteer programs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with volunteers, staff, and community partners
- Proficient in social media management to effectively market volunteer opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team of volunteers
- Strong administrative skills to manage volunteer database, track hours, and maintain records
- Experience in fundraising activities to support volunteer programs
- Ability to educate volunteers on organisational goals, policies, and procedures
