What we are looking for:
We are looking for our next Financial Crime Compliance Executive on a 6 months fixed-term contract or Secondment based in our EMEA headquarter in Henley-on-Thames.

Your Team

You will be part of the compliance function is to assist senior management and the Board in discharging their responsibility of optimally handling the compliance risks faced by the firm. This function is responsible for identifying, assessing, advising, monitoring and reporting on the firm’s compliance risks.

The EMEA Financial Crime Compliance team is responsible for:
- Supporting the wider Global Financial Crime Compliance (GFCC) team in maintaining the global financial crime framework- Providing advisory financial crime support and responding to related queries and escalations

Your Role

You will be part of a team who support the wider GFCC team to ensure Invesco has a financial crime prevention framework that meets or exceeds regulatory requirements. You will provide advisory support and respond to financial crime related queries and partner concerns. You'll help of the team head in his capacity as MLRO of both the UK and Irish businesses is key.

Among Others You May Be Responsible For:
- Supporting the MLRO in the execution of their obligations under SMCR (SMF17).- Helping the Nominated officer and deputy in relation to investigations of internal suspicious activity reports.- Responding to financial crime related referrals and issues from third party administrators.- Providing financial crime advisory support to the business, ensuring that financial crime risks are adequately considered and where possible mitigated against through processes and procedures or that any residual risks are appropriately understood.- Supporting the GFCC team in completing regular financial crime related risk assessments of the business and make appropriate recommendations for control improvements.- Examining changes to regulation and industry guidance. Discuss implications with the team head and advise the business accordingly.- Supporting the preparation of Board and Committee reporting including the annual MLRO reports.

What you'll need to have:
- A curiosity about or knowledge of financial crime or money laundering would be important- Experience of performing an oversight role in a financial crime related background with exposure to the asset management industry would be beneficial.- Experience in handling a financial crime advisory role in a first or second line team would be helpful but not essential.- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation.- Excellent organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and to prioritise workloads.- Excellent standout colleague
