Medical Receptionist/Administrator

Budshead Medical Practice are looking for a highly motivated, hard-working and friendly Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our team

**We are looking for a receptionist/administrator with the following qualities to assist our practice in providing excellent patient care and support the practice to achieve outstanding service.**
- Caring and compassionate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and welcoming telephone manner
- Able to build strong relationships with the Practice team
- Willingness to learn about all products and services offered
- Ability to work under pressure and multi task
- Opening and locking up the practice
- Must be available for holiday and sickness cover
- Ability to use IT and operate computer-based systems, experience of using EMIS Web and/or SystmOne preferred
- Previous NHS/GP experience is preferred

Main Duties:

- Care navigation (navigating patient to most appropriate provider)
- Booking medical appointments
- Dealing with patients face to face on reception desk
- Assisting with general enquires over the telephone
- Dealing with repeat prescriptions and informing patients of test results
- Liaising with other health care professionals
- Assisting with other general administration support tasks such as scanning documents, photocopying of notes/records, filing patient notes and general accurate record keeping tasks
- Assisting with the recall process to enable the practice to meet its targets
- Inputting data on patient records and accurate read-coding
- Registration of new patients
- Processing referrals via NHSmail and NHS e-Referral
- Other work as required to meet the needs of the administration team

The post is for 20 hours per week - Shifts listed below.

Monday 9.00 - 2.00

Wednesday 8.30 - 1.30

Thursday 1.30 - 6.30

Friday 1.30 - 6.30

**Job Type**: Part time

Hours: 20 hours per week

**Salary**: £9.60 per hour, to be reviewed in April 2023

Start date: ASAP
