**What you’ll do**:
This role has two main elements: Responsibility for **managing, mentoring, coaching** and focusing the **Technical & Product Trainers**, and ensuring the smooth running of technical training day to day. You will also be assisting in** developing & delivering vehicle technical training solutions **to the Volvo Authorised Repairer Network, whilst meeting VCUK Business Objectives & Standards. The % split in these elements is expected to be circa 30/70. This position is key to the delivery and competence of** technical training to Volvo retailers** therefore greatly impacts the level of consumer experience.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the efficient and smooth** day to day running** of technical training
- Act as SME in the development of and have direct responsibility to deliver **Online and Face to Face** vehicle technical training using a variety of current tools, including WebEx, Replay and VCPA
- Liaise with other VCUK departments to fully support any new initiatives such as new diagnostic equipment, processes or procedures
- Ensure training content reflects current VCUK policies and procedures
- Ensure the VCUK training offer is relevant and appropriate to the business and target audience both on and off line
- Deliver **vehicle technical training**:

- Deliver **product and brand training** to a non-technical audience
- Ensure other areas of the business are fully supported with product training
- Develop the Technical & Product Trainers’ potential through **objective setting, coaching, mentoring and guidance**:

- Create an environment of flexibility and autonomy that drives results through creative freedom
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Technical and Product Trainers
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- Build trust across the organisation through building collaborative relationships
- Identify shortfalls withing the Technical and Product Trainers and training resources and make recommendations to resolve any gaps
- Continuously monitor and review the training strategy
- Identify shortfalls in the existing training offer and make recommendations on how best to bridge gaps
- Ensure the training offer is delivered in the most up to date and effective way

**Do you fit the profile?**
You should have demonstrable experience as an active **Senior Vehicle Technician** and a knowledge base across all aspects of current motor vehicle technology, **vehicle diagnostics** and **training delivery techniques (**online and face to face). You will have** proven coaching and Development Needs Analysis skills **and are able to work with **Learning Management Systems** to analyse past and develop future training programmes. You are knowledgeable in **retailer aftersales operations** and have an understanding of the business needs of the aftersales department. You are capable of working on your own initiative & under pressure. You are an excellent, confident communicator & influencer and team player. Training course design / writing experience would be an advantage.
