**Job description**

**The role**

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day service administration, integration and service-wide volunteer management, as well as supporting the supervision, improvement and delivery of the service.

We are looking for someone who can motivate and engage and positively interact with the team and volunteers in pursuit of excellence for the service, lead by example and will carry out their work to a high-level demonstrating engagement and professionalism.

The postholder will strive to make the online community a safe and supportive place where disabled people can make friends, get information, and talk about what is important to them.

**Permanent - 28 hours per week and** will require working some evenings and weekends**

**Location: Based at either Here East, London (E15 2GW) or Scope's Leeds office ( LS1 5SH) with working from home some or most of the time.**

**Main Responsibilities**
- Facilitating ongoing upskilling of self and all team members through the coordination or delivery of trainings, workshops and refreshers in key topic areas, including but not limited to disability benefits, housing, and employment
- Leading on service content integration, coordination and consistency across multiple channels such as on-community content, e-newsletters, welcome journey and banners
- Leading on and coordinating online community moderation, providing guidance and assisting with decision-making to ensure administration and moderation of online community remain in line with internal guidance and best practice
- Supporting junior team members and deputising for Community Manager with day-to-day service administration, as well as performance evaluation and quality assurance as required
- Championing the online community internally and externally, establishing relationships between internal services and external organisations, sharing/promoting content with relevant external organisations and helping to support the creation and management of information partnerships
- Attending and contributing to meetings, workshops and trainings, working on shared projects and assisting with activities from other departments

- Excellent communication skills: to be able to welcome, engage and encourage members, supporting broader member engagement activities, signposting members to resources and answering member queries.
- Learning & Flexibility: Working flexibly, supporting the management of changing priorities, service requirements and outputs
- Focussed: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent working knowledge of IT/Online Community: be able to Create and organise new discussions, contests, initiatives, games, blogs, videos, podcasts, e-newsletters, gamification programmes and other content or activities to engage our members.
