**Job summary**:
We are offering two Band 3, Booking Coordinator posts (x1 permanent full time and x1 12 months fixed term full time) to join our ophthalmology team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Ophthalmology is a busy department. We have over 20 consultants, working alongside their clinical and administrative teams to deliver care to patients both locally and nationwide. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our growing team of booking and clinic coordinators.

We are looking for someone who is a team player, has the desire to deliver a top quality service to the patients and consultants we work with, in line with our trust values and mission.

Having knowledge of any NHS service and RTT targets would also be an advantage

You will need to be organised and manage your time efficiently. Having the ability to prioritise your workload is essential whilst working within a busy team.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
Where required coordinate duties in clinics / departments / satellite areas and ensure staff rotas are appropriately covered

To schedule patients into clinics using the criteria set out by the Trust and the clinical speciality, identifying capacity shortfalls

Processing patient appointment attendance using a variety of hospital information systems

Use Trust systems to input electronic data as required

To exercise initiative and judgement based on acquired knowledge and experience when dealing with enquiries

Receiving and dealing with telephone enquiries as appropriate

To maintain diaries as required

Photocopying, Scanning and filing letters and documents as required

Review and action electronic correspondence and disseminate appropriately

- Good General Education (e.g. GCSE English and Maths A-C) GCSE Level 9-4
- Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment

Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word, Excel and Outlook)
