This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work as a band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner on a specialist stroke rehabilitation unit. The post is based on a 24 bed ward at Norwich Community Hospital providing rehabilitation for people who have had a stroke.

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate a person
- centred approach, interested in working as part of an interdisciplinary team and who is keen to develop their rehabilitative therapy and nursing skills.

As a band 4 you will be expected to progress and take responsibility for progressing patients with complex needs under the direction of a registered health professional.
- To provide specialist therapeutic interventions including personal care under the direction of therapists (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, psychology) and nursing staff, to patients following a stroke, in order to allow patients to achieve their optimal level of independence and maximum rehabilitation potential.
- To contribute to the assessment, implementation, evaluation of evidence based treatment programs for patients following a stroke, who may have a range of impairments and complex health needs.

The team is interdisciplinary who work closely to meet the needs and goals of our patients.

We share our skills and knowledge and offer regular supervision alongside annual Personal Development Plans.

The service welcomes and supports students including nursing, medical and Allied Health Professionals.
