Production Planner and Progress Chaser

ABurnet group is a privately owned medium sized international manufacturer of patented, certified hair containment devices looking for a methodical, accurate, positive planner/progress chaser who is able to prioritize, solve queries using their own initiative and implement agreed actions to make sure all raw material, WIP and stock movement remains on schedule to ensure customer demands are always met.
This is an interesting and varied role and you will be an integral part of the business. By becoming fully conversant with all the production SOP’s and processes, you will control our worldwide stock movement, internal and external, to enable each production aspect of the business to deliver their set targets.
Reporting to the Group Production Manager, training on inhouse SOP’s and practices will be provided.
Your deliverables will include:
Responsibility for production planning, scheduling and forecasting.
Arranging, updating and maintaining shipping agendas to agreed delivery schedules, both external (raw materials) and internal (WIP and Stock movement).
Updating planning spreadsheets, ensuring deliveries and all schedules are maintained accurately and up to date at all times.
Identify, record and monitor issues which may impact timely expected progress of order line items throughout the production process and develop alternatives to avoid delays.
Supported contact with colleagues at our 3 manufacturing sites in both the UK and Sri Lanka, using English.
Identify and provide information to resolve schedule issues to Senior Management.
Hold people accountable to their agreed deliverables and advise Senior Management if deliverables are not met at their agreed dates, so Senior Management can take appropriate action in advance to ensure the main objective is met.
Updating production matrices and reporting highlighted issues upwards.
We are looking for a capable planner/progress chaser preferably with 2+ years experience, confident in your own ability and being happy to work on a variety of tasks.
You will be able to demonstrate:
Proven capability of ensuring resolution and successful outcome to time bound deliverables.
Proven record of working to set procedures and highlighting and resolving non conformances.
Assertiveness and ability to challenge, as and when required.
A track record within manufacturing production and experience.
Ability to prioritise work load effectively.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate a positive can-do attitude and work calmly under pressure.
Commitment to work to deadlines and determined to see a job through to successful completion of deliverable.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
High level of attention to detail.
Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
