Production Planner

We are recruiting now for a Production Planner for the Ilkeston area. This is initially a temporary role with a view to becoming permanent
Duties
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand and available resources
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders as needed
- Collaborate with quality control to ensure products meet specifications and standards
- Implement and maintain efficient production processes and workflows
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and optimize production schedules
What we are looking for
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles
- Proficient in using SAP and Excel
- Knowledge of business processes related to production planning and scheduling
- Mechanical knowledge to understand production equipment and processes
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate scheduling and inventory management
- Strong problem-solving skills to address production challenges effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
What's in it for you

- Pay rate £14.67/Hour
- Hours of work Monday - Thursday 7am - 3.30pm, Friday 7am - 2.30pm
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
**Salary**: £14.67 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
