**About the role**

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to assist in the protection and conservation of sea fisheries stocks within the Isle of Man territorial sea. We are looking for someone who has experience of enforcement and practical knowledge of working at sea and a strong interest in fisheries would be beneficial.

In this role you will primarily cover sea fisheries enforcement with the requirement to carry out duties both on land and at sea. Working as part of a small team within the Fisheries Division, you will:

- Participate as a warranted officer aboard the fisheries patrol vessel
- Undertake shore based enforcement of sea and freshwater fisheries legislation, as a warranted officer
- Collaborate with and provide support to the Inland Fisheries team and Government Lab scientists to facilitate fisheries sampling and survey duties

The role requires out of hours and weekend working, for which an allowance is paid.
