We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a beady eye for detail. A skilled Finance Administration Assistant with a strong background in finance admin and knowledge of invoicing, payroll & credit control to join our team at Home Instead. As our Finance Administration Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in a growing and successful business in care.
**Job Description**:
A Home Instead Finance Administration Assistant is responsible for over-seeing and supporting the finance administration processes.
**In this varied and exciting role, you will be involved in**:
- Warmly greet visitors to the office; answer phone calls in a polite professional manner, passing on clear messages where appropriate
- Accountable for invoicing and payroll administration including entering billing hours and expenses
- Process invoices and follow up where appropriate with clients and suppliers.
- Support the reconciliation of bank statements and ensuring all calculations and data entries are correct
- Input into process improvements with cost benefit analysis
- Assist in creating regular financial reports which support understanding of the business performance
- Respond to finance queries and provide assistance on finance related matters to stakeholders, third parties and clients as needed
- Coordinate holidays for the office team and Caregivers
- Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery
- Oversee and co-ordinate GDPR observance and regulations
- Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business
**Hours of work**:30 per week - Mon to Fri - timeframes to be discussed/negotiable
**Salary**: Up to £25k pro-rata (dependent upon experience)
**Qualifications**:
To be successful, you will:
- Proven experience of working in a finance environment
- Knowledge of finance and accounts including Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or Accounts Payable
- Knowledge of MS Office (particularly excel)
- Experience of accounting packages (i.e. Xero)
- Have strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Self-motivated and able to work flexibly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Keen eye for detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Strong team-player with the confidence to work alone
