**Salary**:From £27,000 - £32,000 Depending on experience.

**Hours of work**:Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

**Responsibilities of a Technical Sales Assessor (Containerised Waste)**:

- Supervision of incoming and outgoing waste streams to ensure wastes are accepted, inspected, stored, processed, or routed off-site in a timely manner complying with both Health and Safety and permit requirements whilst also ensuring the commercial aspect of the role is considered and maintained.
- Ensure compliance of all waste assessments with current legislation, relevant permits, licences, and exemptions.
- Technically assess all waste enquiries generated by the sales team or direct enquiries using the current EA technical guidance document WM3.
- Liaise with internal and external laboratories where sample analysis is required.
- Understand site processing capabilities to enable appropriate routing of wastes.
- To ensure that all Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) are identified are dealt with passed to the originator of the enquiry in a timely manner.
- Liaise with customers, operations, compliance, customer services and sales to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Liaising with the internal operations and transport teams as well as third-party disposal and transport companies to organise off-site disposal.
- Ensure all clients requests are acted upon promptly and efficiently.
- Answer all telephone calls promptly.
- To be diligent and respect the confidentiality of the information to which they are party.
- General administration as and when required.
- Assist in Duty of Care audits for existing and new customers.
- To maintain effective record keeping and documentation to accepted/approved methods and procedures.
- Generation of compliant Waste Transfer Notes, consignment notes and waste transportation labels as required.
- Advise on transport, labelling & consignment note requirements.
- Follow up sales leads and chase new opportunities.
- Complete and follow Company computerised procedures to ensure a full auditable trail is in place.
- Ensure the Head and Waste Compliance is promptly updated of any issues arising and provided with regular general updates.
