**The Role**
Coming into the business as Manufacturing Manager, you will grow the existing organisational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organisation's manufacturing efficiency. The role will encompass direct management responsibility of the Operationsteam, including Shift Leaders and the Engineering department.
You will be highly visible across the business, liaising with the Technical teams & Senior Management to ensure the upskilling of Production staff (skills matrix), budget responsibilities and overall process improvements are managed successfully.***

**Responsibilities **
- Ensuring On Time In Full (OTIF) manufacturing environment
- Drive and deliver manufacturing efficiencies, with a continuous improvement program, linked to effective reporting
- Manage manufacturing personnel and development of KPI’s, including ensuring the team is made up of the right people and formulating a retention and development strategy for personnel
- Responsibility for managing the total quality management TQM structure, right first-time culture
- Manage the health and safety objectives
- Maintain a manufacturing environment to the standard of various governing bodies
- Participate directly in the conduct of promoting and maintaining good employee and relations across production
- Identify and develop cost improvement opportunities within production activities
- Monitor plant capacity and propose timely and cost-effective means of ensuring long term production capability
- Define, agree and implement programs for training, development, welfare, recruitment and evaluation of personnel across Manufacturing
- Control department expenses against annual budget, attend reviews, and compile future budgets
- Undertake projects relating to plant expansion and/or production improvements
**Experience Required**
- Experience of world class manufacturing, with that comes knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
- Has had experience managing people, as a minimum 25-30 people
- Must have had budgeting responsibility, including implementation and reporting back to senior management.
- Experience of health and safety management
- Must understand HR and ability to build a strong team
- Must have experience of managing a manufacturing plant of high capital value including managing downtime and multiple departments
- Have had experience putting structures in place to report on manufacturing efficiencies and waste figures
- Must have effective people skills
- Understanding of a skills matrix (incl. implementation & management)
- Experience of managing and implementing KPI’s in a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of health and safety management
