Role Title: Business Development Director

**Salary**: C£90,000 plus commission and excellent benefits
Location: Homebased with UK national travel
Our client is a leading facilities services provider with a worldwide presence. They are currently seeking to appoint a Business Development Director to expand their profile within the Destinations and Venues sector. The Destinations and Venues sector supportslarge retail destinations, sports venues and cultural events.
Responsibilities include:

- Assembling, owning and developing a best-in-class new business development plan
- Seeking out major clients and forming working relationships with the premier buyers in your target sector
- Overseeing and managing a team of BDM's creating a high performing sales team
- Identifying and focusing on key businesses (retail destinations, stadia, arenas, racecourses and events)
- Accurately forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace
- Serving as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows and expositions
- Management of data base and recording of activities resulting in accurate, detailed and informative reporting
- Forming profitable sales strategies
- Must have facilities management (FM) soft services experience: cleaning, security, and associated services
- A solid existing network within the FM/venues/destinations/retail sector is essential
- Results orientated with strong credibility as "player/coach"
- A hunter by nature, passionate about reaching and exceeding individual financial targets
- Demonstrable experience in related sales, marketing, business development and managing a sales team
- Proven success of leading multiple large sales opportunities at once (£1.5m plus projects) and developing strategies to enable high performance and success
- Management of multiple stakeholder relationships, including operations and finance to Board Level
- Degree level qualification, MBA or equivalent is desired.
- IT literate (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
