The College of Human Sciences is one of three colleges at Bangor University. The College, through the University, is formally linked to the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board enabling an integrated approach to developing research, training, medical and healthcare education that serves the needs of North Wales and beyond.

The School of Medical & Health Sciences:
The School of Medical & Health Sciences is the University’s main focus for activities that support the healthcare professional workforce. Purpose of the Job
- Provide programme leadership for the postgraduate taught MSc programmes delivered by the School.- Contribute to the leadership, management and professional development of the postgraduate team.- To teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including supervision of projects and students.- To develop teaching materials or methodologies, for example course design or assessment and being module coordinator or contribute to module co-ordination.- To provide pastoral and academic support to undergraduate and postgraduate students.- To undertake administrative duties as designated by the Head of School.Main

**Responsibilities**:

- Delivery of postgraduate education across the School’s portfolio including the planning, designing, delivery and quality evaluation.
- Undertake module lead responsibilities in areas of health sciences and research methodology, public health, health promotion and research methodology and support the delivery of the MSc dissertation module and supervision and marking as required
- Contribute to the development of the School and University in line with the strategic and operational objectives.
- Review ethical aspects of research proposals and protocols, for internal review.
- Work with IT and colleagues to set-up and deliver innovative teaching methodologies.
- Supervise L7/8 students and support with project specific tasks.
- Assist programme leads in the preparation of data for quality assurance purposes.
- Maintain and develop Scholarly activities in line with University and College strategies.

Publish evidence of scholarship related to learning and teaching in referred journals and/or books, articles and/or conference proceedings.
- Assist module leads in the preparation of reports as required to adhere to University policies and procedures and complete QA1 forms.
- Promote the work of the School of Medical and Health Sciences by supporting marketing and recruitment activities, admissions and providing students with pastoral support.

Administrative duties will include:

- Participate in the student recruitment and induction procedures of the _School (e.g. School and University Open Days)._
- Contribute to the promotion and external profile of the
- Contribute to the _School's/College’s_ management, and participate in the administration of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (e.g. director of teaching, senior tutor, exams officer or admissions officer roles).
- Undertake an active role in mentoring less experienced members of staff within the College/School.
- Contribute to the marketing of programmes by participating in School and College link activities and other marketing initiatives.
- Contributing to addressing undergraduate and post graduate student experience and student recruitment and retention.
- Undertake other administrative duties and responsibilities as directed by the Head of _School (e.g. leadership of school or College projects, which may involve interdisciplinary groups, membership of School boards and task groups)._
