**Job title **Student Services Officer

- **Main purpose of job **The receptionist is the face of the school and is responsible for coordinating many aspects of the school’s interaction with clients.

Working within the Student Services Department this is the first point of contact for clients and staff enquiries whilst ensuring that the school operates smoothly on a daily basis.

**Main duties**
- Provide a friendly and professional reception and deal with general enquires from group leaders, students and visitors both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Provide administrative support to staff, students and group leaders.
- Providing administrative support to the Student Services Manager.
- Assisting the Academic Department when required.

**Specific duties**
- Provide a friendly and professional reception and deal with general enquires from group leaders, students and visitors both face-to-face and over the phone.
- To deal with, or refer, basic queries and correspondence.
- Deal effectively and efficiently with enquires from staff, students and visitors.
- Liaising with tour companies and booking excursions for international students.
- Organising International Students’ Induction and produce materials to compliment this process.
- Provide administrative support to staff, students and group leaders.
- Preparing student reports and course certificates.
- Archiving student reports, files and certificates on a weekly basis.
- Preparing and distributing feedback forms to clients at the end of their studies.
- Issuing official school letters to students.
- Ensure that messages are efficiently taken and relayed to appropriate departments.
- Ensure that student data is thoroughly entered and updated on the company database.
- Process and upkeep of student passport / Visa information.
- Providing administrative support to the Student Services Manager.
- Be familiar with the school’s Safeguarding policy and Prevent strategy
- Assist with petty cash management.
- Be responsible for selling study material, travel passes and tours to students and for operating the till.
- Stock level control of bus passes, refreshments, stationery and stamps.
- Be available to work from any other station within BLCI premises as and when instructed by the Student Services Manager.
- Assisting the Academic Department when required.
- Occasionally helping the Academic Manager with conducting student level tests.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: £23,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: One location
