**Procurement Specialist**

We are currently recruiting for a **Procurement Specialist** to join our client, a London Based Museum on an interim basis. Start ASAP.

**Overview**:
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for delivering routine procurement activity in line with compliance and that value for money is achieved.

**Day to day duties**:

- Support the Museum with all end-to-end procurement
- Working on projects with tight deadlines
- Ensure procurement is in line with policies, and operational practices comply with relevant legislation and other statutory requirements
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Stakeholders
- Challenge current supply arrangements where appropriate and to support re-negotiating contracts

**Previous Experience**:

- Knowledge of core procurement principles and activity
- Previous experience of working in a procurement function
- Experience of managing contracts and suppliers
- Proven track record of influencing people and building collaborative partnerships with suppliers/ stakeholders
- Previous experience of providing procurement advice and leading sourcing events in compliance with public regulations

**Personal Characteristics**:

- Excellent interpersonal skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confident communicator
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and reliable and comes with an ability to deliver to tight timescales

**Education**:

- Education to degree level or equivalent work experience within a procurement/supplies function
- CIPS qualified to diploma level 4 or working towards this goal.
