A newly created role to support the central Knowledge Management strategy and systems within RSM UK.
The role will initially support the development and launch of the newly designed KM systems; capturing and curating content, configuring repositories and developing guidance materials.
Once deployed, the role with involve developing and owning processes and mechanisms to maintain the KM systems and knowledge within; ensuring we continuously improve the user experience.
As well as hands-on system support, this role involves liaising with practitioners in the business to support them in the use the KM system and to identify, capture and curate knowledge. Strong interpersonal skills are therefore essential.
**Principal accountabilities**
- Support the development of the new KM ecosystem; configure and deploy repositories, toolkits, knowledge sharing platforms and other defined solutions
- Own the ongoing maintenance of the KM systems to ensure an optimum user experience; monitor user analytics and re-configure the systems accordingly
- Liaise with practitioners in the business to identify, capture and curate knowledge; ensuring we have strategically valuable, relevant and consumable knowledge in the KM ecosystem
- Classify and sanitise knowledge assets submitted to the central KM system to enable optimum knowledge discovery
- Actively manage the life cycle of knowledge within the central KM system; establishing and owning processes for maintaining and archiving knowledge to ensure currency and relevance is maintained
- Develop and maintain use case and guidance materials, as well as capture case studies to support adoption, training, and promotion of the KM ecosystem
- Support users, answer KM queries and provide training in using the KM systems to share and find knowledge
- Support the interconnected Ontology, Enterprise Search, SharePoint Online and DMS projects as required
- Support the aggregation of analytics for regular KM KPI reporting activities

**Experience**
- Good degree in any discipline. Some relevant experience in supporting systems, content or knowledge in a professional services or similar environment.

**Essential skills**
- Basic understanding of knowledge and/or content management approaches and principles.
- Demonstrable passion for knowledge management and/or digital tools
- Strong interpersonal skills - able to work well with people at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills with an ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Active team player.

**Desirable skills**
- Experience of systems related to KM, such as MS SharePoint.
