Join our team as a Community Support Worker to help us achieve the delivery of a flexible, high quality service

The Community Support Service delivers valuable care and support to people across the island, enabling them to maintain their independence in their own home.

You’ll contribute to this commitment by supporting service users with a variety of complex needs such as Stroke, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia and Mental Health diagnoses, enabling them to live independently for longer.

Some of your day-to-day duties will include ensuring that the well-being and personal care needs of individuals are met, including personal hygiene, food preparation and medication, as well as assisting with other tasks of daily living, which may include shopping and paying bills.

Early shifts start from approximately 8am and late shifts start at variable times depending on your contracted hours. The Service runs until 10pm and shifts are scheduled in advance.

Due to the nature of the role, you will work independently, with a good support network, building confidence and skills. This will give you a really broad knowledge of Health and Social Care delivery, and support your personal and professional development.

**What can this role offer me?**

A full induction, shadowing programme and training opportunities including Moving and Handling, First Aid and Medication will be provided, as well as help to achieve the RQF Level 2 in Health and Social Care if not already attained.

A uniform, first aid kit and mobile phone will also be provided. You will be paid travel time between service user visits, be given a fuel allowance between visits and receive weekend/bank holiday enhancements.

You’ll also receive a competitive salary with incremental pay progression and a generous pension scheme.

A full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required for this role.

A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
