The Role:
To support the site with the implementation & maintenance of the Business Excellence Programme and be the expert on site for CI related topics included in the Business Excellence programme.
Duties include:
- Maintain communication with CI stakeholders across the business, building positive relationships with all departments, utilising these positive relationships to assist delivery of results
- Provide support to people leaders and contribute to the success of departmental teams, helping them identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Site Management, establishing two-way communication and accurate provision of information to support the efficient running and continuous improvement of the site.
- Build an excellent working relationship with the Operations teams to ensure that the continuous improvement agenda is embedded into everyday practices to support operational efficiency and delivery of targets.
- Work closely with the Food safety team to ensure that CI activities are completed in line with food safety guidelines and that any issues are communicated effectively, and an ethos of working together to overcome problems is encouraged.
- Build and develop a strong and effective working relationship with the HR and people development team, ensuring that all CI learning and development activities are part of the overall people development strategy.
- Coach & mentor problem solving teams through the problem-solving process, using appropriate tools & problem-solving techniques
- Facilitate workshops on site to support implementation of elements & tools of the Business Excellence Programme. (Including 5s, Kaizen events, SMED, FMEA etc)
- Conduct analysis of company data to determine top loss & identify potential improvement projects
- Liaise with site management to identify & resource potential improvement projects.
- Execute complex or multi-site improvement projects using the Lean & Six Sigma methodologies, in addition to those above
- Facilitate Value Stream Mapping exercises
- Train, coach & mentor Six Sigma Green Belts, Yellow Belts & Problem-Solving Teams
- Conduct layered Audits, Maturity Assessments, Tier Meetings & validation audits
- Facilitating the Business Operating System (BOS) programme
The Person:
Essential Criteria:
- Third Level Qualification or significant experience within the Manufacturing industy
- At least 3 years’ experience within a lean manufacturing environment
- Strong Operations background
- Experience in implementing lean structures and tools
- Strong leadership qualities, including experience in leading change
- Excellent Communication and IT Skills
