Bookkeeper - Part Time 4 Days Per Week

Small family business based in Maidstone is looking for a well qualified and experienced bookkeeper to be responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping for the company.
This role is perfect for you if you are an experienced Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant. You are thorough, accurate, and honest with great bookkeeping skills. You are self-motivated and can work independently and use your own initiative. You have strong attention to detail and are trustworthy.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Full bookkeeping service
- Preparation of monthly VAT returns and filing online with HMRC
- Run monthly payroll for approx. 20 staff and filing online with HMRC and pension provider
- Managing workload to meet deadlines
- General bookkeeping, keeping a track of invoices, collating invoices together for VAT returns
- Credit control
- Record income and expenditure in accounts package & ledgers
- Reconciling all bank and cash accounts and control accounts including Intercompany
- Posting journals for payroll, accruals, and prepayments
- Monthly/quarterly P&L review against forecast/budget
- Providing accountants with year end TB/Profit and Loss/ Balance Sheet together with working papers
- Other general administration and book-keeping work required
**Experience / Skills**
- Bookkeeping experience essential
- AAT qualified
- Sage Line 50 experience essential
- Training will be given on our in-house software
- Be reliable and trustworthy
- PC skills are required
- Have the ability to work under pressure, prioritise and multitask
- Excellent attention to detail
- Team Player
- Be able to work unsupervised and meet deadlines
- Good time keeper
**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
