**About the role**

To oversee and manage the training and compliance initiatives at our new factory in Worsley, ensuring adherence to legal requirements, industry standards, and company policies. The Compliance Officer will work closely with the Learning & Development Manager and the Technical Manager to implement effective training programs, monitor regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of food safety, health and safety and continuous improvement.

**Key Duties**
- Develop and implement training and compliance programs that align with organisational goals and legal requirements, including statutory, mandatory, and developmental training and compliance for new and existing staff.
- Collaborate with the Learning & Development Manager, the Technical Manager and Cranswick Group to ensure consistency in nationwide training interventions, sharing best practices and operational insights.
- Monitor regulatory requirements related to staff training and competence, ensuring all changes are reflected in statutory and mandatory training programs.
- Run the internal audits program, engage relevant staff in advance and prepare to ensure the maximum benefit is achieved from the internal audits.
- Prepare for planned customer visits, review historical actions and arrange preparation meetings to ensure the purpose and expectations of the visits are effectively communicated to all areas.

- Conduct internal assessments of procedures and audits of CCP’s, Allergen control, Species control, Pest Control, Foreign body control and other relevant systems in place.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training interventions at regular intervals, reporting against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide coaching and one-on-one support for team members.
- Maintain accurate records and management information to demonstrate progress against KPIs and departmental goals.
- Champion compliance to the Cranswick Core and ensure the accuracy and currency of data generated by the department.
- Deputise for the Learning & Development Manager in their absence.

**About You**
- Ability to commute/relocate to the site in Manchester M28 1DR (required)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (preferred)
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills (preferred)
- Proactive and flexible in working approach (preferred)
- FMCG experience (preferred)

**A willingness to commute to Bury BL9 8RQ whilst our Worsley site is under construction, which has an open date of July 2024 (required)**

Required Qualifications:

- Train the Trainer (or equivalent trainer qualification)

- Food Safety: Level 2, Allergen Awareness
- Minimum Health and Safety: Level 3, IOSH Managing Safely
