Operations Compliance Officer

Our client is a top 100 UK law firm seeking to hire an Operations Compliance Officer in their Manchester office. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring all third-party products and services comply with legal, ethical and regulatory requirements and monitor effectiveness in maintaining those standards.
To apply for this role, you will need to have experience working within a legal services environment to assess the compliance of third-party suppliers and experience managing projects to improve compliance standards. You will also need skills in managing stakeholders' expectations at all levels, an understanding of data protection laws and the SRA Code of Conduct, and the ability to research and draft procedures.
Key roles and responsibilities will include:
Answering queries from fee earners and other staff on potential new third-party services and products, as well as compliance processes such as due diligence and data protectionAssisting with the launch of new products and services and conducting ongoing monitoring of existing products and servicesAdvising on compliance terms in new contractsMaintaining the firm's register to monitor suppliers' compliance with obligationsAdvising on regulatory changes relating to products and servicesAssisting with delivering information security and GDPR requirementsDeveloping compliant processes when working with third parties and their systemsAdvising on compliance training requirements Please apply with a copy of your CV if you would like to be considered for this excellent opportunity.
