**About The Role**:
As a Payroll Coordinator you will be working as part of the HR team. You will hold responsibility for the monthly payroll ensuring procedures are developed and adhered to and that all payments and deductions are processed correctly within a compliant and controlled environment, whilst working to tight deadlines.

**Main Duties include**:

- You will work closely with HR colleagues ensure a prompt and efficient payroll service ensuring compliance with legislation and reporting requirements.
- Ensure payrolls are processed in an accurate and timely manner, including all payments and deductions and targets and objectives are met.
- Ensure monthly control reconciliations are completed and all discrepancies are investigated and satisfactorily resolved.
- Work with the team to ensure clear processes and controls are in place and adhered to across the group
- Understanding the needs of our internal and external customers and responding promptly to their requirements and payroll queries.
- Ensuring regular communication is kept with staff with regard to pay queries; communicating simply, clearly and confidently at all times
- Keep up to date with relevant Payroll legislation, any relevant changes and issues and compile reports when requested
- Implement new PAYE schemes and coordinate the integration of new businesses and acquisitions as instructed
- Review new acquisition existing payrolls and roll out of group system
- Preparation and completion of end of year process: including P60’s and P11Ds ensuring accuracy of forms and ensure filed by deadlines
- Manage the recovery of any owed monies from leavers and escalating where necessary

**Working hours**:
40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9:00am til 5:30pm (with some flexibility around start and finish times).

**About You**:
**What you'll need to succeed**:

- Experience of dealing with large volumes of monthly payroll
- Highly organised and up to date with payroll legislation and benefits
- Confident in face to face environment and capable of dealing with stakeholders of all levels and disciplines across the business
- Ability to meet deadlines and understand priorities
- Ability to be effective under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisation skills both written and verbal
- Proficient in using MS Office in Excel (i.e. use of VLOOKUP’s and understanding of formulas) Good time management skills
