A warm & friendly Residential Care Home located in King’s Lynn, Norfolk requires a kitchen and laundry assistant. Applicants must be 18 years plus due to providing personal care.

This is a permanent position to work part time in a care home. Shifts will be on a 2 weekly rota:
week 1 - 14 hours

week 2 - 21 hours.

The cook is part of the care team, but does not deal directly with residents.

Duties include to prepare promptly all meals and beverages as required, including special diet meals and function work, and to check all meals for quality, quantity and appearance. To monitor stock levels of food in storeroom. To check in supplies of food delivered for quality, quantity and freshness and report any discrepancies to Manager immediately. Cook will be required to cover the other cook's shifts as and when needed.

The laundry aspect of this role includes working well within a team, able to operate machinery and follow instructions.

Duties include sorting items and checking for stains, loading items into a machine and finishing by drying, folding and packing. Items can include resident’s clothing, bed linen, curtains and table linen etc.

No experience necessary as full training will be given.

Successful applicants will be required to provide a enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by applicant and reimbursed by employer after 3 months of satisfactory employment.
