**The opportunity**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Database & Compliance Assistant to join our Legal Support Department, based primarily between our Lewes or Eastbourne office and working from home.
A high standard of interpersonal and communication skills is vital, especially in the context of client care and we are looking for someone who has a positive and friendly manner in dealing with clients, contacts and colleagues. You will also require excellent keyboard skills with experience in data entry and repetition. Competency in the firm’s computer facilities and other systems as appropriate will be beneficial, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.

**Your key duties will be**
- Creation of new Contacts, Opportunities, Clients and Matters as necessary to open new client matter files ensuring the highest standards of data quality at all times
- Liaise with the legal departments and Legal Support Assistants as required to verify information or collect missing data
- Ensure that Conflict Searches have been run and are attached to the new Matter to document the legal adviser checks
- Generate the standard whole firm opening documentation on a matter and send out to the client
- Undertake data cleansing projects (specified by others) to improve the quality of the data in the database
- Run electronic searches using MWB’s selected search provider’s software, review the results, and record the results against the Contact in Peppermint

**Skills and experience you will have**:

- Exceptional data management skills and experience.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- High degree of efficiency, accuracy and organisation in carrying out tasks
- Experience of administrative work within an office environment
