**Accounts Assistant Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Payroll**:
- Assist with payroll admin for temporary employees
- Assist with weekly/monthly payroll processing
**Purchase Ledger**:
- Process/issue purchase order requests
- Code/match/process purchase invoices
- Obtain invoice authorisation timely
- Statement Reconciliations
- Direct debit/Standing Order Payment allocations
- Supplier payment runs
**Sales Ledger**:
- Raise/issue sales invoices and statements
- Processing bank receipts and chasing remittances
- Credit Control
**Cashbook**:
- Processing bank/petty cash/credit card and pay pal transactions daily
- Payment processing via online banking
- Cash book reconciliations
**Administration**:
**Accounts Assistant Applicants**:
- Must have prior experience within a busy finance team
- Demonstrable experience in a financial support role, and specifically an Accounts function
- Prior knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts/Payroll is desirable
- Good time management skills
- Ability to cope with conflicting demands and prioritise tasks
- A meticulous eye for detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and build working relationships within internal and external stakeholders
- A positive outlook with the ability to work under pressure and to work flexibly to meet business requirements
