Lymphoedema Team Administrator

dermatology, GPs, Vascular and district nurses etc. To communicate with other health care professionals as part of the discharge process i.e. discharge summaries etc To receive telephone calls and take messages from staff, patients, relatives, carers, GPs, other professionals and the general public, some of which will be sensitive and/or confidential. To make or reschedule patient appointments for clinic or home visits and post letters when requested To complete the home visit risk assessment in advance of home visits.
To assist in obtaining data for the yearly activity reviews of both services. To prepare presentation materials using PowerPoint and Word/Excel. To oversee the receipt of goods, confirm delivery and follow up on non-delivery with supplies. To assist clinical leads with the development and implementation of audit proposals, monitoring and evaluation exercises.
To type up letters, reports and other documentation for both teams when requested. To develop, amend, update document drives in the shared drive of both services and store a range of standard letter templates for use by staff where appropriate. To maintain service diaries for both services, scheduling meetings and appointments as necessary. To monitor and record all staff leave, sickness and other absences for the lymphoedema service.
To schedule meetings, book rooms, prepare and circulate agendas and papers for, and actively participate and take minutes at the department team meetings and any other meetings as required. To prepare learning packs for study days, seminars and learning events To compile patients notes prior to assessment where required for the lymphoedema service To send text reminders prior to appointments using the appropriate system To investigate DNAs and produce a monthly report for both services
